A house in Carisbrooke's Goldcrest Close lit up people's Christmas and now the generosity of the people who viewed it has boosted two Isle of Wight charities.
Matthew Whitham, 24, made his home into a festive treat for the eyes with thousands of Christmas lights, winning him £1,000 of vouchers in the Illumination Street competition.
But the real winners were Samaritans Isle of Wight and Suicide Intervention and Prevention IOW, each being presented with a £1,500 cheque from the money collected by Matthew from the hundreds of people who came for a peek at the display.
Matt told the County Press: "We had an extremely busy month and we’d like to thank everyone who visited and donated, and we will be back to do it all again in December.
"I was delighted to support these two great charities."
