AN ISLE of Wight woman was warned by a crown court judge an option to jail her was still on the table following her attempted robbery of a man.

Emma Louise Stafford, of Medeway, Lake, admitted attempting to rob David Buckman and possessing cannabis, on November 17 last year, when she appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Monday (10).

A report on Stafford, who appeared by video link from HMP Bronzefield in Surrey, was granted by the judge, Recorder Paul Garlick.

The judge warned Stafford, 41, that due to the seriousness of the offences, imprisonment could not be ruled out.

Stafford was remanded in custody to reappear for sentencing at the same venue on February 11.
