A FURTHER 150 have been confirmed as having Covid-19 on the Isle of Wight today.

It takes the cumulative total of Islanders who have had Covid to 24,289 since the pandemic began.

The Island's rolling rate per 100,000 fell slightly from 880.6 to 851.7, although this rate is five days behind and therefore doesn't take into account the cases from the last few days.

The Island currently has the third lowest rate of all the UK's lower tier authorities.

The UK rate is currently 1,736.8, which fell from yesterday's 1,830.5.

Changes to rapid lateral flow and PCR testing requirements came in in England yesterday but reporting of positive cases remains unchanged.

Cases identified through a rapid lateral flow test are included in case counts.
