IT'S all change at Brownrigg's Farm Shop and Butchery, after the former owners stepped down in the New Year and two new faces have stepped in.

Two Isle of Wight farmers, Andrew Hodgson and Phillip Morris - took over the business on January 1 and have rebranded it as the Isle of Wight Farm Shop.

Andrew farms livestock at Shorwell, and is also the owner of Isle of Wight Meat Co.

Phillip grows vegetables on his farm in Atherfield and runs the long-standing and popular Farmhouse Fayre shop in Newport.

The appearance of the farm shop has already been given a fresh new look with its change of name.

Shortly before the takeover, Brownrigg’s posted on their Facebook page: “A partnership that we are sure will bring some new and interesting products to the shop.

“Andrew and Philip are keeping in place all the familiar and friendly team members.

“Shane will be serving at the meet counter six days a week, and Patty will be in the kitchen cooking pies, sausage rolls and a new range of ready meals.

“Abi, Hannah, and Gill will be keeping the shop stocked with all the old favourites and plenty of exciting new products.”

The former owners, Paul and Sue, decided that after more than 30 years of running butcheries, farmers markets, and the farm shop, it was time to step back.

They said: “Thank you to all our customers for their loyal support over the years.

“We are so grateful and looking forward to seeing you all continue to support the shop.”
