A MANDATORY one-year driving ban was handed to a motorist who found himself just over the legal alcohol limit.
Dominic Dunford, of Old Road, East Cowes, admitted drink driving and possession of cannabis at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on November 30.
His breath alcohol reading was 40 when the legal limit is 35, the court heard.
The incident happened at Dover Street in Ryde on November 7.
As well as the disqualification, Dunford must pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.
