The Isle of Wight's gritting fleet will be out tonight (Monday).
Island Roads says it will treat precautionary routes, as well as the bridges at Stag Lane and Foxes Road in Newport, from 8.30pm.
Motorists are being urged to drive carefully.
Two weather warnings — for severe gales and heavy rain — come into effect tomorrow.
Local forecaster, Jamie Russell, says the rain could be torrential at times, with a risk of hail mixed in.
