A YELLOW weather warning has been put in place for Tuesday, December 7, on the Isle of Wight by The Met Office.

Strong winds are to affect much of the UK on Tuesday, with potential travel disruption in places.

The Met Office has said to expect delays to road, rail, and ferry transport, with some bus and train services, likely affected.

Strong winds will arrive at western regions of the UK during the morning, spreading inland and reaching eastern areas through the afternoon and early evening.

Gusts of 60 – 70 miles per hour are expected for exposed coastal regions.

It is also reported that short-term loss of power and other services is possible.

And if you are out on the Island’s coast, be warned, as it is likely that some sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and large waves.
