TODAY marks a new chapter for Newport's Charter House.

The red-brick venue in St Thomas's Square is re-opening and has a whole raft of special events planned for the festive season.

Free cocktails are on offer for customers today (Friday) to celebrate the big opening.

Tomorrow, Saturday, there is an ABBA tribute band, Voulez-Vous, coupled with a wedding disco.

Next weekend, Our Girl ‘G’ is on the DJ decks on Friday, December 10.

Drag Bingo is being held on Saturday, December 11.

A free New Year's Eve event is also on the Charter calendar.
