THE Isle of Wight Festival has announced a new raft of acts, including The Kooks closing the Big Top on the Sunday night.

Isle of Wight band Wet Leg, GRIFF, Freya Ridings, The Snuts, Mae Muller, Mimi Webb, Joel Corry, The Amazons, The Charlatans, The Compozers, Del Amitri, Everyone You Know, The Fratellis, Heather Small, Mark Owen and Toyah also join the line-up.

The newly announced artists will join headliners Lewis Capaldi, Lionel Richie, Kasabian, Pete Tong & the Heritage Orchestra presents Ibiza Classics conducted by Jules Buckley and Muse.

Also performing across the weekend are Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Blossoms, Rudimental, Tom Grennan, Sigrid, Craig David Presents TS5, The Vaccines, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Shaggy, Happy Mondays, Mavis Staples, UB40 ft Ali Campbell, The Proclaimers and The Coral.

The Kooks, celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut album Inside/Out next year, will close the Big Top on Sunday, June 19.

After a stand-out set on the Big Top stage at the 2021 Festival, Isle of Wight’s very own Wet Leg will make a triumphant return at next year’s event.

 

Newcomers to the Island in 2022 include chart topping DJ Joel Corry, Scottish band of the moment, The Snuts and hotly tipped artists Mimi Webb, GRIFF and Mae Muller.

Fan favourites and indie music icons The Fratellis and The Charlatans will also perform in Seaclose Park, with singalongs guaranteed for festivalgoers.

Double platinum singer songwriter Freya Ridings will bring her beautiful live show, performing hits like Castles and Lost Without You.

Singer songwriter Mark Owen who, over his 30+ year career has won eight BRIT Awards and sold over 45 million records as part of Take That, also joins the bill.

The Amazons, who have been praised by MTV, the Daily Telegraph and more, will also perform next year.

Scottish icons Del Amitri will perform hits such as Roll To Me and Nothing Ever Happens as well as material from their latest album Fatal Mistakes, released earlier this year.

Heather Small, one of the defining voices of the century and the voice of M People, will perform over the festival weekend.

North-London quartet The Compozers, who also join the bill today, are known for their electrifying live shows and their ability to blend different genres. 

Over the course of her 40 year career, award winning musician Toyah has recorded over 20 albums, had eight Top 40 singles and written two books, and in 2022 she’ll add playing the Festival to her list of achievements.

Also joining the bill are Everyone You Know, two brothers - best mates and simpatico songwriters - who produce beats reminiscent of The Prodigy and Massive Attack.
