RYDE School held its Remembrance Day service at All Saints’ Church, Ryde, and as is tradition during the service, the names of the 65 pupils and staff who gave their lives to their country during war were read out.

In memory of the 65 fallen, three current Upper Sixth pupils, Jacob, Tomas and Sam, created ‘Challenge 65’, for a heroic charity walk in the name of Remembrance Day.

The event was set up to raise money for the British Legion.

The trio walked a total of 66 miles each, almost the whole perimeter of the Isle of Wight, starting and finishing in Ryde.

The walk took them 22 hours and they have currently raised more than £1,650 through their JustGiving page and a cake sale.
