THERE'S a buzz of excitement in East Cowes as the town prepares to welcome this year's pantomime — Beauty and the Beast.

Last year, Amy White Theatre entertained Islanders via a specially written pre-recorded Zoom show called Mr Christmas, which received more than 5,000 views.

The theatre group is set to grace the stage this year.

Look out for traditional pantomime antics with Belle (Tammy Hazel-Ravel) and the beast (Ian Townsend) taking centre stage, supported by the dashing Franque (Charlie Merricks), his sidekick clochard (Callum Davies) and the lovable Nanny night nurse (Iain Briggs) and her son Brie (Kyle Quinn).

The cast and crew are excited to be back into live theatre again led by director Becky Nugent and musical director Tressa Lambert.

Plenty of laughs are guaranteed at all four performances on December 11 and 12, at 12.30pm and 6.30pm at The Amy White Theatre, East Cowes Town Hall.

Tickets are available on TicketSource or on the door.
