CHRISTMAS in the Square is back for 2021, providing free family entertainment, musical acts and festive foods from Friday (December 3).

The celebration of Christmas is organised by The East Cowes Business Association in King’s Square and Well Road Carpark in East Cowes.

Ran in partnership with East Cowes Town Council, Red Funnel, and other community partners, the town is pulling out all the stops to create a fun and festive atmosphere that brings the whole community together.

Market Days IOW is organising a market event on the day, which will bring island makers and producers together with food and produce.

This includes The Garlic Farm, Wild Island and Isle of Wight Mushrooms, Thomas P Cochran Silver Jewellery, AJB Beauty and Pamper, Kissma Lily homewares, Sandown Sweets, Isle Be Jewellery, Goodland Isle of Wight Outdoor Backpacks and Neddies Bar.

Tracy Reardon, secretary of the East Cowes Business Association, said: “The East Cowes Business Association has been involved in Christmas in the square for well over 25 years.

"This community event has given lovely memories to the people and especially the children of East Cowes at this magical time of year!"

The event will open at noon and will go on until 6pm, with fun family activities for passers-by, shoppers, and families.

The likes of Jules Nelson, East Cowes Church Choirs, Steve and Kai family entertainers, and live music band Atticus will provide free family entertainment and activities.

The event is sponsored by Red Funnel.
