An Isle of Wight comic book writer is offering buyers of the new comic he has written in the iconic Commando series, the chance to be just that.

Russell Sheath is holding a signing of Beware The Phantom at The Heroes Comic Shop in Newport tomorrow (Saturday).

Every customer who buys a copy of Beware The Phantom on Saturday, will be entered into a draw to have their name used as a character in a future Commando story, written by Russell.

Russell is no stranger to comic book writing and his first comic Radar Raiders was Heroes' biggest selling single comic ever and outsold Batman and The Avengers.

Heroes is at 3 Central Market, Scarrots Lane, Newport, and Russell will be signing from 11am.
