An urgent appeal for witnesses - including a bid to find three men spotted at Shanklin station last night - has been launched.

Detectives from the British Transport Police are investigating a man's death.

He was one of two people found to be unwell outside the station, in Atherley Road.

At around 9.45pm on Monday, November 22, paramedics treated two men on a bench.

Both were taken to hospital and one of the men later died.

This morning, police remained on scene and the station was cordoned off for a time.

An investigation is now underway to work out what happened.
