This month finds Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri back on the road to premiere songs from their new album The Long Ride Home.

The hugely popular pair began work on it at the beginning of 2020, prior to the first signs of the pandemic, and so found an outlet to write and record in their studio during lockdown.

After the huge disappointment of cancelled shows this time last year, Kiki said: "We’re grateful to have been able to keep busy, being as creative as possible".

This Saturday finds them bringing the show to Quay Arts, in Newport.

The haunting Amoureuse proved a huge hit for her back in the 1970s, and still delights audiences today. And no K&C concert would be complete without her anthemic: I’ve Got The Music In Me - a song Kiki made her own back in 1974.

And that music is still there - in abundance, so audience participation is guaranteed.

And yes, they even do a beautiful stripped-down acoustic version of her 1976 megahit number one with Elton John, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.

But if you prefer the original she’ll be only too pleased to sing a verse with you at the Meet ‘n’ Greet after the show

The uber-talented duo have been writing and playing together for over two decades, and in that time have released four studio albums and a further two recorded live.

They are really enjoying being on the road again; meeting old friends and making new ones — with some new songs, and a sprinkling of those old favourites.
