POLICE have reiterated their appeal for witnesses after cars parked in a residential street of Cowes became the targets of vandals in a late night spree of criminal damage.

The Cowes Neighbourhood Police Team carried out house-to-house inquiries this morning (Saturday), following vandalism in Victoria Road, on the evening of November 16.

"We can confirm we received reports of several vehicles being damaged in Victoria Road," a Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said this afternoon (Saturday).

The windscreens of two vehicles were smashed belonging to a white and blue Ford Fiestas, the police say.

The incident happened sometime between 11pm and 11.30pm that evening.

A spokesperson for the Cowes Neighbourhood Police Team added: "If you saw a group in the area at around this time, could you let us know please."
