THE Isle of Wight's Covid rolling rate has fallen below 400 and is now below the UK average rate.

Daily data released by Public Health England shows the Island's rate as 385.8, down from 400.6 yesterday.

The UK rate is now 402.1.

The rolling rate, measured per 100,000 people, is always five days behind the daily data.

Today, a further 74 Covid cases were confirmed for the Island — a number pretty consistent with the past few days (70 yesterday, and 73 on Friday).

The cumulative total cases on the Island since the pandemic began is 15,868.
