THERE has been a marked decrease in the Isle of Wight's rolling rate of new positive Covid-19 cases over the past seven days, according to the latest figures produced by Public Health England.
The latest daily figure for Island cases was 70, to bring the total since the pandemic began up to 15,794.
Yesterday (Friday), there were 73 new cases.
Since last Saturday, the total number of cases has risen by 603, with some big queues seen for Covid PCR tests at Newclose Cricket Ground, at times, during the week.
All cases recorded are Island residents.
The Island's rolling rate, while five days behind, has also changed.
In the seven days to October 30, it was 400.6 — a decrease of 158.1 in that period.
The national rolling rate now stands at 408.7. Last Saturday, the rate was 450.8.
