STONECRABS’ Out On An Island pop up café was held at Lord Louis Library in Newport recently.

But don’t worry if you missed it, as there are other similar events to enjoy at libraries across the Island.

The Island tour provides free coffee and croissants and the opportunity to watch the project’s documentary Our Stories Matter, filmed on the Isle of Wight and focused on fascinating LGBTQ+ people from the past 100 years.

There is also a chance to see a recording of Out On An Island’s exhibition showcasing its research and memorabilia filmed at Quay Arts.

The pop up cafés are a opportunity to meet new people and learn about places with hidden LGBTQ+ connections, from Dimbola Lodge in Freshwater and Virginia Woolf to The Shack at Mottistone Manor with Paget and Seely, or the East Cowes Classic Boat Museum and Joe Carstairs.

Find out what the libraries have to offer and how you can loan books and listen to audiobooks and learn about Out On An Island’s LGBTQ+ Book Club.

You can attend the pop up café at the following times and places, click on them to find out more:
