WHILE it remains above the UK average, the Isle of Wight's Covid rolling rate has fallen today.

The rate, per 100,000 people, dropped from yesterday's 550.3 down to 538.3 roday (Monday).

The rolling rate data is five days behind, but the future looks relatively bright with Covid cases remaining below 100 in recent days.

Today, a further 79 cases were added to the Island's total, taking it to 15,430 cases since the pandemic began. Yesterday there were 83 cases.

There were 16 Covid patients in St Mary's Hospital at the last data reveal.
