Heavy rain will hit the Isle of Wight overnight tonight (Friday) and again on Sunday.

The Met Office says tonight's bad weather will reach west Cornwall and west Wales late this evening, before moving eastwards, towards the Island, overnight.

The weather warning, from 9pm tonight until 9am tomorrow (Saturday), says 10-20mm of rain is likely, with 30-35mm in a few places.

The Met Office warns flooding is likely in some places and strong and gusty southerly winds are also expected.

Meanwhile, a second band of rainfall will arrive across southwest England and Wales overnight on Saturday, pushing northeastwards.

Sunday's Met Office weather warning will be in place between from midnight on Saturday until 3pm on Sunday.

Locations including the Isle of Wight will see 20-30mm of rainfall and the wind will also strengthen.
