Another Covid-19 death has been recorded at St Mary's Hospital in Newport - the seventh this month.

A person died on October 25, after contracting Covid-19, the latest NHS information has revealed.

It means 182 hospital patients have died since March 2020, after getting coronavirus and there has been a further 145 deaths in the Island's community (at home, in care homes, in a hospice and other non-hospital settings).

As the County Press reported yesterday (Tuesday), the most recent community death was in a hospice, in the week to October 15.

New cases are being confirmed at at rate of around 100 per day on the Isle of Wight.

Our rolling average rate, per 100,000 people, also remains high and was 567.9 in the week to 21 October. 

New case data is due at around 4pm.
