EMERGENCY services were scrambled this morning (Sunday) following reports of two people trapped in an overturned vehicle.
Freshwater and Newport fire crews attended a single vehicle road traffic accident near Yarmouth at around 6am.
The car had come to rest on its roof following the crash.
The Fiat Punto’s two occupants were first reported to be trapped inside, but upon the arrival of emergency services, both had been able to free themselves.
Both driver and passenger were treated at the scene by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
