THERE seems to to be no let up in the number of new cases of Covid-19 on the Isle of Wight, with a further 135 confirmed over the past 24 hours.
Public Health England figures released today (Saturday) show the total number of confirmed cases now stands at 14,562 — almost ten per cent of the Island population.
All cases recorded are Island residents.
Yesterday, 96 cases were confirmed, with 108 the day before that.
Over the past week, the number of positive cases increased by 818.
The Island's rolling rate, while five days behind, has also changed.
In the seven days to October 16, it was 567.1 — a further weekly rise, this time by 13.2.
The national rolling rate now stands at 476.3.
