BLACKGANG Chine’s latest halloween-time fright night has kicked off this October with plenty of thrills and scares, showcasing some very impressive effects and Island acting talent.
Terror Island features three unique horror mazes, which brave visitors must navigate their way through.

The first maze, named Hexcavation, features the story of an archeological dig gone wrong; releasing a curse upon the woeful diggers.
This maze made impressive use of tight spaces and dead ends to leave visitors feeling trapped.
The second maze is The Blood Shed, which utilises spooky smells and gory effects to emulate how livestock may feel before slaughter.
Finally, there was Amphibious, a ghoulish nautical maze that used truly astounding lighting to bring the murky depths all the way up to Blackgang Chine.
Each maze illustrated a dazzling array of features to create a unique and electrifying experience.
However, the mazes are not the only entertainment on offer.
For the less hardy of nerves, the park offers its usual, and very popular, rides — the rollercoaster, and the water-raft slides.
The rollercoaster boasts new red lighting and fog effects to amp up the thrill factor, while the water-raft ride has experienced a makeover with a beautiful array of fairy lights.
The park itself has seen similar aesthetic upgrades and is flavoured well to the spooky season.
The live entertainment and catering venues create a pleasant buzz, that can soothe those who have braved the mazes.
Featuring an impressive live band and charismatic fire throwers, Blackgang has ensured that waiting in line for a maze is no slog.
Blackgang Chine is an Island treasure, and this season it is not to be missed.
Though the coming of winter can be dark, the Terror Night transforms that darkness into an electrifying and memorable evening.
