Isle of Wight firefighters have slammed a fire that engulfed bins and grass at Freshwater skate park as 'foolish, reckless behaviour.'
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue crews used hoses to put out the flames, after being called to the site last night (Wednesday).
The heat from the fire made paint blister on nearby fencing.

The team said on social media: "The intensity of the flames and smell from the burning suggested an accelerant such as petrol had been used to start the fire."
In a Twitter post, they wrote: "There was also evidence that an attempt had been made to set fire to a separate bin stack, around five metres from the fire.
"This really is foolish and highly dangerous behaviour that spoils the areas created for our young people to enjoy.
"If anyone has information about this incident please contact our local neighbourhood police team."
