NEARLY 90 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed on Isle of Wight, according to the latest government data.

Public Health England figures released today (Monday) show 89 cases.

Yesterday, 108 were confirmed, and 139 the day before.

The total number of Isle of Wight Covid cases, since the start of the pandemic, now stands at 13,189.

Children remain the most affected, with the government heatmap showing rates among ten to 14 year olds at 3,126.7.

It was 3,085.6 as of October 5.

The Island's rolling rate in the seven days to October 5, is 522.9.

The rolling rate is always five days behind.

According to the lastest data, published October 7, the number of patients with Covid being treated at St Mary's Hospital has fallen.
