Three more people have died in the Isle of Wight's hospital after contracting Covid-19.

Two people died at St Mary's on September 24 and one person died on September 26.

Their deaths have been reported in the official NHS data released today (Tuesday).

It means 173 hospital patients have now died since the start of the pandemic..

Community deaths are recorded separately and a further 137 Islanders have died at home, in care homes and in other non-hospital settings.

Today's Covid-19 cases data also shows a rise of more than 100, and an increase in the rolling average rate.
