GOVERNMENT data shows the number of patients with Covid being treated at St Mary's Hospital has dropped this week from 30 people, to 21.

Data correct on Tuesday, September 21, and published yesterday (Thursday), showed a drop from 30 a week ago and 34 the week before that.

Of those in hospital, two are currently being treated in specialist ventilation beds.

This week it was revealed two people had died in hospital after contracting Covid-19.

It means 170 people have died in hospital and 137 elsewhere, totalling 306 deaths on the Island since the pandemic began.

The number of Covid cases on the Island since the pandemic began totals 11,353.

The current rolling rate is 193.3, and has been steadily falling.
