SNOW Patrol gave Isle of Wight Festival goers a welcome reminder of their quality on their return to Seaclose Park on Saturday.

The Irish rock band first performed at the Isle of Wight Festival back in 2004, taking the stage ahead of The Charlatans and headliner David Bowie.

The band went on to headline the event three years later.

Returning at the weekend, they treated the crowd to many of their hits, from Chasing Cars to Run and Chocolate.

Frontman, Gary Lightbody, even dedicated a song to Sam Fender — an artist he admires — who performed on the main stage ahead of the five-piece.

Here's a gallery of pictures taken during the big occasion.
