A FRESH date has been set for the third and final round of speedway's Island Masters Series — cancelled last Tuesday due to bad weather.

The event will now be held at Ryde's Smallbrook Stadium on Tuesday, September 28, Wightlink Warriors co-owners Barry Bishop and Martin Widman have confirmed.

“It was so disappointing to have to call off the meeting on Tuesday. It promised to be a cracking end to our season, but sadly the wet overnight and early morning weather got the better of things," said Barry.

"There was no chance of us allowing the season to just peter out, so we have been working hard over the past 48 hours to make all the necessary arrangements to climax our Summer Spectaculars in the best possible way."

To celebrate what has been "a terrific 2021 season", the club will be hosting an end-of-season party, in the Premier Lounge, on October 30.

It will include the presentatiion of awards and a disco.
