A SOLID set of hits was delivered by Friday main stage headliner Liam Gallagher last night, who was on top form doing what he does best.

On the big screens we saw the Rock n Roll Star walking towards the stage, maracas in hand and wearing his trademark parka.

He mixed the set up with his own tracks such as Once and Wall of Glass, and threw in plenty of Oasis classics, including Stand By Me and Live Forever.

On stage with him was original Oasis guitarist Bonehead and a guest appearance by Liam's son Gene on drums.

Liam joked we were getting two Gallaghers for the price of one, and made the standard dig at his brother Noel before Acquiesce — 'the backing singer's at home counting his money' so the festival crowd had to sing along instead. He even provided lyrics on the big screen.

Towards the end, he didn't disappoint by strolling back for an encore, rounding off the set with Wonderwall.
