Cycling star Sir Bradley Wiggins will lead the Le Blanq Legendary Joyriding tour, along the Isle of Wight's scenic Military Road, this weekend.

It arrives here promising 'once in a lifetime joyriding weekends, led by legends of cycling and gastronomy" and has previously visited Perthshire, in Scotland.

The Isle of Wight weekend is based in Ventnor and will see a group of cyclists heading out across the Island.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Tour De France and five times Olympic winner, Sir Bradley Wiggins.

The cyclists' efforts will be rewarded with some fine dining, overseen by a Michelin-starred chef.

On Instagram, the LeBlanq Tour wrote: "We begin our joyride across the Isle of Wight with the legend that is @bradwiggins. Here's a little taste of what those making the escape with us can expect."

Raymond Le Blanc had planned to be here for the twice-postponed event, but was unable to make this weekend.

Instead, Bibendum's Claude Bosi replaces him, alongside Ashley Palmer-Watts.

A launch event was held in August 2020, by Covid delayed the tour's arrival on the Isle of Wight.
