THE Red Arrows will be gracing the skies over the Isle of Wight Festival this afternoon (Thursday).

The famous flying aces are due to perform to open the first day of the four-day festival.

Festival boss John Giddings said it was to be a celebration of the festival starting up again after such a long hiatus.

A full display is expected to commence sometime around 4.55pm, according to the NOTAM flight planning map (3.55pm GMT, 4.55pm BST).

The team are likely to be spotted from various points, including The Needles and St Catherine's Point, as they depart Bournemouth Airport and head back there again afterwards.

Will you be around to spot them?
