Cowes plays host to the 200 miles Cowes Torquay Cowes power boat race this weekend.
Teams from around the world descend on the home of sailing for an exhilarating run to the Dorset coast and back.
Among those taking part in the British Powerboat Racing Club event will be 23-year-old PR professional Cole McGowan, from Florida.
He will ride with with Dorian Griffith in Pippa, a Fabio Buzzi-designed and built RIB, powered by twin Seatek 750 hp diesel engines.
A team from Italy is also racing.
Tommy One has arrived at the Red Funnel Isle of Wight Ferry to make their way across the Solent to Cowes.

Expect briefings and onshore activities before the official starts on Sunday morning, from 10am.
Competitors start off the Royal Yacht Squadron and return to Cowes later in the day, for prizegiving.
Racing was cancelled in 2020, but in 2019, the Cowes Torquay Cowes title was won by Drew Langdon and Miles Jennings in Silverline Bullet.
This weekend will also feature a display of boats - from the historic to modern.
Smaller boats will race from Cowes to Poole and back, also starting on Sunday.
Both races are part of the Offshore's Governing bodies UKOPRA British and World Championships.
