THE Isle of Wight's Covid rolling rate per 100,000 people has dropped to below 200, the latest data shows.

The rate has fallen from 212.30 yesterday, to 198.90 today — although the data is always five days behind.

The UK rolling rate has also fallen, from 306.90 yesterday, to 291.80 today.

A further 19 cases were added to the Island's confirmed total cases today, taking the cumulative total to 8.042 confirmed Covid cases since the pandemic began.

The Island has had 282 cases confirmed in the seven day period recorded by the government data, which takes us up to five days ago.

There were seven people with Covid in St Mary's Hospital on Tuesday, the latest available hospital bed data.
