"THE troubles of the world tipped her over," said the father of a 36-year-old woman found hanged at her Sandown home, an inquest on the Isle of Wight was told.

Isle of Wight coroner, Caroline Sumeray, concluded Sarah Wade took her own life.

The Island-born mother-of-two was found dead at her home in St John's Road on July 30, 2019.

Police went to Miss Wade's flat to check on her welfare, following a call from the NHS's mental health services team to report she was missing.

Her post mortem, at St Mary's Hospital in Newport, concluded her cause of death was by hanging.

Miss Wade, with a long history of complex mental health problems, had used cannabis and haloperidol just prior to her death, a toxicology report concluded.

In a statement read at the hearing, Miss Wade's father, Geoffrey, described her as very caring, but she didn't like to see the news or see anything nasty.

"The troubles of the world had tipped her over," said Mr Wade.

"We loved her more than she could ever imagine. She was a kind, gentle person and we miss her more than words can say."

Ms Sumeray, in her summing up of the case, concluded Miss Wade's deteriorated mental health had been exacerbated by taking psychoactive drugs, such as cannabinoids, which "made her feel more paranoid, more stressed and more low."
