RESIDENTS across the Isle of Wight have been hit hard by today's adverse weather.

Homes and streets in Binstead have been flooded, with CP reader Chester George sending video of the carnage caused by the excessive downpour.

The Met Office had earlier launched an amber weather warning, with further inclement conditions forecast until the early hours, although tomorrow (Monday) afternoon looks brighter.
