AS THE Isle of Wight's roling rate of Covid-19 cases creeps steadily upwards, a further 46 cases were recorded.
Yesterday's delayed Public Health England figures released today (Sunday), which cover the seven days up to July 17, show the total number of Isle of Wight cases, since the start of the pandemic, now stands at 7,761.
On Friday, there were 38 new cases, according to the data produced by Public Health England.
The Island's first Covid dose figure nears 90 per cent of adults amid a worrying surge of cases of the new Delta variant, which originated in India and which is now sweeping the UK.
Friday's rolling rate of 261.7 has risen to 297, while the UK figure stands at 502.1.
Last Saturday's total — the figure as of July 10 — stood at 7,380. That means a rise of 381 cases the following week.
