THERE are few things in nature more spectacular than a thunderstorm and judging by some of the photographs being taken, the Isle of Wight had a good one last night.

Nowadays, the weather warnings put in place by the Met Office are more accurate than they have ever been, which is great news for photographers.

A great thunderstorm is invariably a flash of inspiration for photographers and Shanklin's Jamie Russell is no exception.
