ANOTHER Covid-related hospital death has been added to the Isle of Wight's overall total.
It is the first recorded at the hospital since May 9.
Since March 2020, 155 people have died at St Mary's after contracting Covid-19, or had it mentioned on their death certificate.
Of those, 99 were recorded in 2021 alone.
A further 137 people have died in the Island's community, including in care homes, at home and in the hospice.
Yesterday, a further 38 Covid cases were confirmed, taking the Isle of Wight total to 7,715.
