COASTGUARD teams have been called to Shanklin this afternoon (Friday) following a report of a suspected head injury.
Both Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams have been called to the scene, alongside Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat.
Teams were tasked at approximately 2.10pm.

Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 175 has also been scrambled.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: "Shortly after 2pm today, we received reports a man had falling down a cliff near Luccombe beach.
"Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams have been sent, alongside the search and rescue helicopter from Lee-on-Solent, Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service."
The air ambulance has also been spotted in the area.
UPDATE:
Isle of Wight Police have asked the pilot of a drone in the area to desist.
They said it was interfering with the rescue attempt by the Air Ambulance and Coastguard.
UPDATE:
The operation has concluded and the casualty has been airlifted to Southampton General Hospital, police have confirmed.
The male casualty was recovered by lifeboat then taken to hospital by helicopter.
