THE CASE against a 22-year-old Newport woman, charged with grooming a child while working at an Isle of Wight school, has been further adjourned.
A hearing in the case against Ellen Cadman-Smith, of Kingfisher Close, was heard at the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
She has been charged with grooming a boy under the age of 16, between February 1, 2020, and February 21, 2020.
She is also charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child, between January 31, 2020, and March 4, 2020.
The former student progress mentor is alleged to have exchanged messages with a boy under 16 which were sexual in nature.
She is also alleged to have booked a hotel room for the pair to stay in.
Her case was adjourned to November 8 for further psychiatric reports and a provisional trial date has been set for April 25, 2022.
She was granted conditional bail.
