Wightlink has released its winter timetable - and it features a slimmed down service between Yarmouth and Lymington.

From November 1, 2021 and March 27, 2022 there will be hourly round-trips, between 8am and 12pm on weekdays.

However, from midday on weekdays and weekends, just one boat will run.

Two boats will link Portsmouth and Fishbourne, meanwhile and the pedestrian-only Fastcats between Portsmouth and Ryde Pier Head will be hourly.

Earlier this week, the Isle of Wight ferry firm revealed there would be a 50p hike on Fastcat tickets, replacing the Ryde Pier toll.

Fleet and Operations Director John Burrows said: “We have assessed forecast demand for our services outside the busy summer months and believe this timetable will offer sufficient sailings for everyone who wants or needs to cross the Solent this winter.”
