A COWES man is awaiting sentencing after being found guilty at trial of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Liam Slaven, of The Moorings, appeared before the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Friday (July 16).
The 29-year-old denied inflicting grievous bodily harm, on December 28, 2019.
The jury reached a unanimous verdict, and Slaven will next appear in court on September 3 for sentencing.
He was granted unconditional bail, and Judge David Melville ordered a pre-sentence report.
His case is likely to be heard at Portsmouth Crown Court.
