A MISGUIDED soon-to-be-tourist has asked the all important question — are Isle of Wight Covid restrictions the same as England's?

Posting on the Love The Isle Of Wight Facebook group, one tourist appeared to regard the Island as separate to the rest of the country.

She said: "Hi, we are due over next week, and my husband's work has asked us to double check on isolation after coming back.

"Am I correct in thinking it's the same as England?"

Islanders have since commented on the post, with one reminding her "it is in England" and another playfully urging the woman to remember her passport.

Heather Leaver said, with the cost of the ferries, travelling to the Island is a bit like travelling abroad.
