Grace Argyle, Tom Isaacson and Ellie Tasker (all aged 14) and 15-year-old Jess Atkins will travel 57 miles, anti-clockwise from Yarmouth, towed by a rib and accompanied by a safety boat.

A date has yet to be set, but it will be in the next couple of months and their challenge is expected to take about five hours, with a lunch break in Sandown Bay.

Supported by Grace's mum and dad, Lee and Kim Argyle and Grace's sister Kate, the team hopes to raise funds for the charity which was set up in the name of little Sophie Rolf, who died from a brain tumour in 2013.

Isle of Wight County Press: Grace Argyle (14), Ellie Tasker(14), Jess Atkins(15) and Tom Isaacson(14) will circumnavigate the Isle of Wight on an inflatable banana for KissyPuppy.

KissyPuppy's mission is to develop and improve services for Isle of Wight children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

The Argyle family said: "KissyPuppy does amazing work.

"This will be an extreme challenge for the teenagers.

"While 15 minutes around a sheltered bay is fun, hour after hour in changing sea states will test their endurance.

"We understand this has never been attempted before and could be a new world record!"

In the last week, the team had a practice run and say they are now ready for the challenge itself.

They have already raised more than £1,000 and you can help push that amount up further.
