AN EAST Cowes man has denied using threatening or abusive words toward an East Cowes councillor who was driving his Tuk Tuk.
Simon Paul Wheeler, of Albany Road, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday).
The 54-year-old is charged with using threatening or abusive behaviour toward Cllr Karl Love, on April 20.
He is alleged to have stood in the middle of Clarence Road holding a long wooden pole, obstructing the council member for East Cowes.
Mr Wheeler's case has been adjourned for a trial on July 23.
He was granted unconditional bail.
