THE number of confirmed Isle of Wight Covid cases has risen again, according to the latest data.

Public Health England figures released today (Saturday) reveal four new cases.

Three were recorded yesterday.

The Isle of Wight total, since the start of the pandemic, now stands at 6,882.

The rate per 100,000 population, in the seven days to June 7, is 7.1.

Yesterday, it was 8.5.

Over-25s on the Island are now being called forward to get their Covid-19 vaccination, Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced earlier this week.
