A WIDOWER is set to navigate the entire Isle of Wight coastline in his mobility scooter, raising money for charity.

Terence Antell, of Barton on Sea, will be setting off tomorrow (Sunday) on a week-long tour using C-Class roads.

His late wife, Jean, died on March 18, but Terence is still involved with Oakhaven Hospice and dedicated to helping them any way he can.

Last month, the 76-year-old spent a day driving his car around the Island, clocking 95 miles without visiting every coastal location.

"It's going to be a challenge to do it on my Tramper mobility scooter in five or six days," said Terence.

"I'll have to ride on the road most of the time as there are only a few pavements.

"There are also a few fast roads with blind corners, and I'll be going at 8mph."

Terence made his final preparations yesterday, and will be heading the Island at around midday.
